More Than Just Oil - New Baileys Outshine
An extruded nugget that combines oils from soya and linseed with supporting nutrients, including important anti-oxidants, plus super fibres and Digest Plus prebiotic to produce a high oil supplement which can be fed to promote weight gain or stamina or simply outstanding coat shine. Fed in small quantities it is particularly useful for increasing the non-heating calorie content of the horse's diet without significantly increasing the volume fed.
Winter can take its toll on a horse's coat and general condition so many of us like to add a "splash" of soya oil to our horses' diets, or boil linseed to help keep a shine on their coats. It's great to know then that the advantages of both these trusted favourites have been brought together in Outshine, the new advanced high oil supplement from Baileys Horse Feeds. Soya oil is rich in Omega 6 fatty acids, whilst linseed is an excellent source of Omega 3s, and research has shown that they need to be fed in the correct balance to provide maximum benefit. Baileys Outshine combines them both to give an optimum balance along with supporting nutrients, including anti-oxidants and "super fibres", to produce a high oil supplement which can be fed to promote outstanding coat shine, weight gain or improved stamina.
Oil is a concentrated source of slow release energy, providing 2¼ times as many non-heating calories as carbohydrate from cereals and has a "glycogen sparing" effect which promotes stamina and helps improve recovery. However the more oil that is included in the diet, the more anti-oxidants the body requires to deal with the free radicals produced during its metabolism. What makes feeding Outshine preferable to straight oil is its inclusion of anti-oxidants in the form of vitamins E and C, as well as selenium and zinc, which support the safe and efficient utilisation of the oil by the body. Outshine's concentrated formula is perfect for topping up the diets of performance horses and those needing slow release calories for weight gain or simply to keep a shine on the coat all year round.
